We visited Hitchen’s Barn to celebrate our wedding anniversary… it was a last minute lunch booking as we took ages deciding where to go!
We would recommend booking in advance for special events here as they are very often fully booked, but it’s always worth a call to see if they have any last minute availability.
There is a well-curated wine list and we enjoyed a bottle of white wine (I’ve forgotten which!) along with selections from the set menu.
We bother chose the Chicken and Ham Hock Terrine with Piccalilli to start, then I chose the Confit of Pork Belly and Tony went for the Cornish Plaice with Samphire and Prawns.
For dessert Tony chose the Sticky Toffee Pudding from the set menu, while I couldn’t resist the Dark Chocolate & Peanut Butter Bar from the main dessert menu – both desserts were huge and we almost didn’t manage them all… almost 😉
Every time we visit we love the food and our time at Hitchen’s Barn – we really must visit more often!
